थे १स्त तो फाल -The 1st one to fall
Started really getting to work on one of my programs and found out that in order to do some of the things they want I need to know how to code stuff in HTML…me the most technologically challenged person ever coding? Well, I’m actually picking it up pretty quickly!...go figure!
Sadie and I were really excited to be heading to Mathara to do some field study but unfortunately I got really sick and we didn’t go☹ I don’t know if I ate something or what but I ended up in the hospital today with an IV…funny because I feel like I’ve already done this whole thing before- but this time I was smart and brought music with me to pass the time! …I had my phone laying next to me playing music since I forgot headphones lol They tried to take blood from my hand- didn’t work the 1st time and HURT and so they did my hand a second time which HURT a ton too and got some blood out of it but apparently not enough because then I had to go to pathology to take more blood from my arm this time. Apparently the dehydration made it hard to get blood…and it’s not like I had any energy to make a tight fist for them. I had a temp of 102 which I’m pretty sure was down from last night. It was the weirdest thing, before my IV I was laying on the bed with my whole body tingling- apparently low blood sugar can cause that. I look like I’ve been in battle…I have bandages on my hand and arm and even have a sweet hospital mask to complete the look! It was actually a really nice clean hospital…unlike the one I went to in China. The doctors were all really nice and dealt with my whiney hiney…I almost started crying and screamed a little both times they stuck needles in my hand! Sadie and Kelly are awesome- they hung out at the hospital waiting for me and have been taking great care of me, but I think Ryan’s right- this trend of me winding up in hospitals in foreign countries really needs to end!

Oh man that sucks, I never want to go through food poisoning again. They actually sent you to pathology? That's so much better than the hospitals we went to. Did you get an IV for 3 hours too and then get chucked? Good times.
ReplyDeletehaha only 1 bag of fluids for about an hr and pathology was only after not being able to get blood out of my hands after 2 tries...paaaain!
